Kafr Elsheikh
Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, an Egyptian governorate, located in the far north of Egypt in the Nile Delta, and its capital is Kafr El-Sheikh city. Its population was 3,172,753 in 2015, and its area is 3,748 km². Its entire area is located north of the Delta and overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. The governorate is administratively divided into 10 centers that include 13 cities: Kafr El-Sheikh, Desouk, Fuwah, Metoubas, Qaleen, Sidi Salem, El-Riyadh, Sidi Ghazi, Bela, El-Hamoul, Baltim, Baltim Resort, and Burj Burullus. The governorate celebrates its national holiday on November 4 of each year to commemorate the victory in the Battle of Burullus Naval in 1956 (68 years ago).
